FBI on a Hiring Blitz
This year, the FBI is hoping to add almost a thousand new special agents and around two thousand support staff on a large hiring blitz. Think you got what it takes to be an agent? Of a large number of candidates enter the FBI training academy, only a few make it out. The CIA is also hiring for a wide variety of positions.

I’m an intelligence analysts with the Indiana Air National Guard and was wondering where I could go to apply for the FBI. I do not have a degree, however…Does this necessarily prevent me from being a candidate?
Thanks in advance!

I have a secret clearance with US Customs, can this speed up the process with the FBI..

While agencies like the FBI usually prefer applicants with TS, TS/SCI, TS/SCI with poly, a Secret clearance always helps in the job search. If the position you apply for requires higher than a Secret clearance, you will have to undergo a SSBI (Single Scope Background Investigation) from scratch. While the Secret won’t “speed up the process” for a TS it certainly helps your resume as it proves you’re “clearable” and their time/money probably won’t be a waste.
So short answer: no. But it helps you get started.
